THIS TIME LET'S MAKE IT HAPPEN!

It may be a good idea at this stage to give everyone a refresher on how we got here today.

We have republished our vision as it was at the outset – back in the halcyon days of 2015. Despite an initially enthusiastic response from some politicians, it became clear over several discussions and meetings, that the Scottish government were not in the least bit interested.

We moved on. In February 2017 the People’s Assembly Scotland was registered. This was done largely to distinguish us from several other people’s assemblies thrown up on search engines and which were nothing to do with us or even Scotland in some cases.

We learned a painful but valuable lesson from the Digital Covenant, the main one being that we could not rely on a public DLT platform unless we had bottomless resources. Anyone who signed up to the Covenant, by the way, is entitled to re-register here at no cost. Simply send us your details.

Anyway, here is the original blog, published in 2015. All the other material is available on:

ONLINE STEPS TO A MAJORITY, FOLLOWED BY …

  • Voters use an email address and passport numbers to access electoral roll online

  • If they don’t have a passport, in terms of unique numeric identity can use either (a) National Insurance number – or (b) Community Health Index (CHI) number which is given to us all at birth for all future NHS records.

  • If for any reason any of the above not to hand, can apply online for (d) pin no which sends hard copy to home address

  • Having accessed, firstly compelled to download White Paper

  • Acknowledge that you have physically read White Paper

  • You are asked ‘Are you ready to place your vote?’ – Confirm you are ready

  • Up pops the question ‘Should Scotland be an Independent Country?- with a YES tick box (NB we use a tick instead of a cross, as the experience is one of positivity)

  • Tick the box

  • You are congratulated on having placed your YES vote!

  • You are asked if you would like to say something on your record for all readers on the digitally scrolling feed. (limited to x number of words.)

  • The Accumulator updates

  • Your online vote appears in the live scrolling feed, name/ date of birth/ area and post code (NB home addresses remain totally confidential)

  • You are told which YES number you are in the vote process

  • At the same time you are informed that your numbered Certificate of Scottish Patriotism has been emailed to you.

  • Importantly for the future, your digital copy also has your own unique digital scanning code.

  • You are provided with an opportunity to Share your Certificate news with email contacts, and all social media contacts. You are provided with an opportunity to include a message, with an optional photograph and an optional note of where you were when you voted.

  • In the window until Scotland’s First Minister makes UDI (Unilateral Declaration of Independence), and to provide as much future inclusiveness as possible, those who vote after a majority is established continue to receive the same Certificates.

  • Prior to departing from The Charter, a wonderful opportunity for users to use their Charter photographs to create paid for Souvenir Merchandise. Mugs and glassware, mouse mats, T-shirts, umbrellas, canvases and framed prints! And the rest.

  • At the point of checkout, all users provided with an opportunity to make a voluntary donation to Children’s Hospice Association Scotland. http://www.chas.org.uk

  • After UDI, all YES voters receive an Independence Day Goody Box in the post! These include numeric hard copy Certificate of Scottish Patriotism, as well as a range of celebratory items, either provided by willing sponsors, or paid for with the first wave of oil tax receipts and savings on Trident! …

  • (It is of course imperative that there’s a bottle of whisky in every Independence Day Goody Box, that opportunity can of course go to the highest bidding whisky maker!!!)

  • We have a future of the most wonderful celebrations. Visitor attractions, hospitality in totality, tourism destinations and sectors, the whole of Scotland’s Entertainment provision, all of these can combine to make celebratory offers aplenty, all you have to do to access these is scan in your own unique digital code!
