ICCPR AT THE CITIZEN PARTICIPATION & PUBLIC PARTICIPATIONS COMMITTEE

Writing in Bella Caledonia, Gerry Hassan recently commented that “…the devolution experiment of the past 25 years under Labour and the SNP centred around a politics of caution, management and administration, has been threadbare and inadequate…”

If we are to survive in this desert of political passion people need to feel and see the democratic process working for them and next week in Holyrood, the deliberations of the Citizen Participation and Public Petitions Committee might just change all that.

All independenistas and all wishing direct democracy and self determination need to sign petition PE20135 and should it succeed next week (Wednesday 2nd April) the request that the International Covenant on Civil and political rights is incorporated into Scots law as recommended by the Scottish Human Rights Commission will enable the Scottish electorate to benefit from the features of Direct Democracy.

It's not too late to sign. See Respect Scottish Sovereignty for more details.

Join us outside Holyrood at 10.30 on Wednesday 2nd April. See you there
